Apply for a "Getting Clarity" Assessment

Make a deeper impact by leading your nonprofit from a place of clarity, energy, & joy.

You connected with this work to make a DIFFERENCE. You have PASSION and COMPASSION. You want to have an IMPACT.

BUT... the overwhelm and overwork are starting to take a toll on you.

  • Do you feel underappreciated, undervalued, and maybe even a little resentful because of the late nights at the office?
  • Are you in the early stages of burnout - an inability to focus, lack of sleep, or tasks taking longer than usual?

  • Are you juggling too many demands from the board, staff, and funders?

  • Do you feel bogged down by your growing to-do list instead of having space to focus on the big vision?

  • Do you feel like you’re sacrificing yourself by putting the mission and the work first? No time for recharging and relaxation?

  • Do you feel isolated and alone trying to do this on your own?

I get it. It's tough.

I've been there. And I can help.

I get it. It's heartbreaking.

I've been there. And I can help.

Hi, I'm Shalini, and I’ve been working in the nonprofit space for over 20 years.

I’ve served in multiple roles, including conducting community outreach, advocating for survivors of violence, writing grants, and twice serving as an executive director.

I understand that working in advocacy and social justice is stressful work that’s often physically, spiritually, and emotionally draining even as it can be meaningful and fulfilling.

Years ago, I changed course in how I showed up to the work by engaging in my own inner work. The shift was so profound that I’m committed to supporting nonprofit leaders and activists in doing their difference-making work with greater clarity, energy, and joy.

I believe it’s time for a radical shift in the nonprofit world — to recognize and reclaim that our best work happens when we’re fully rooted, resourced, and resilient.

If you’ve struggled to do your work with clarity and energy, and you’re ready to make a change, schedule your "Getting Clarity" Assessment today.

Shalini is easy to work with and able to hold space.

I serve as the Board Chair at BVS Women’s Choir and had the pleasure of working with Shalini when I brought her on as a facilitator at our recent board retreat. She was easy to work with and able to hold space for a robust conversation about our choir’s needs and growth opportunities. We hope to use her services again in the future!

I highly recommend Shalini as a coach. She is a JOY to work with.

She is an exceptional listener and can reflect back to you in ways that trigger insight. She is grounded and has keen intuition. She also brings her years of coaching insight into the present moment with you.

Shalini is one of the most important mentors I've ever had.

Shalini was an exceptionally supportive leader at Sakhi for South Asian Women. As a young activist working in women's advocacy, I learned so much from Shalini and consider her to be one of the most important mentors I've ever had. Shalini has such a uniquely calm and grounding presence, and brings supreme thoughtfulness to the way she supports and guides others.

Her passion for social justice and collective liberation, and commitment to creating communities of care is evident in all that she does. Shalini encouraged me to think more deeply about my work and my own goals as an activist, consistency offered insightful feedback that supported my growth, and was always so encouraging. Working in advocacy and social justice is hard work that is often depleting spiritually and emotionally even as it is fulfilling.

Shalini's nurturance was such an important part of me assessing the ways I engage in my work and care for myself as an activist. She will make an incredible coach for social justice leaders as they deal with the many challenges that come with the territory. Anyone who has the privilege and joy of working with Shalini is immensely lucky.

Shalini makes coming to work enjoyable with a focus on self-care.

I had the distinct honor of working for Shalini during my time as Youth Empowerment Advocate at Sakhi for South Asian Women.

Shalini was the kind of boss that makes coming to work day in and day out not only bearable but enjoyable. I always looked forward to seeing her in the office, and greatly appreciated her open door policy. Her emphasis on self-care and time for oneself was something that made the work we were doing less stressful, and I am sure it kept those of us on the team in direct service from burning out.

Shalini is the kind of leader who makes it clear she believes in you, and so she makes you believe in yourself. With her gentle guidance, there is no place for self-doubt, only room for growth and exploration. Shalini has a way of encouraging others to be grounded, through her gentle manner and mindful approach to interactions.
